A trial was recently conducted by TriYield of Arcadia, Florida to understand how NanoPro® can increase the efficiency of a broad-spectrum fungicide. Luna Tranquility®, a product by Bayer CropScience®, was aerial applied to a potato crop at a rate of 11 oz/ac and 5 gal of water. Another plot area was sprayed with 4 oz/ac NanoPro® added to the fungicide. The active ingredients in Luna Tranquility® include Fluopyram and Pyrimethranil. According to Bayer CropScience®, “Luna Tranquility® provides excellent leaf spot complex protection (early blight and brown leaf spot), including strains with reduced sensitivity to Group 11 and current Group 7 fungicides. It also protects against white mold and black dot.”


Lab Results

At 2 hours applications of Luna Tranquility® alone showed “undetected” concentrations whereas Luna Tranquility® mixed with NanoPro® had detectable levels. NanoPro® delivered the product more quickly to the plant, allowing more time for the systemic nature of the fungicide to mobilize throughout the potato plant. NanoPro® also delivered higher concentrations of product to the plant, providing superior protection against plant disease.
